Oh say can you see, the view from the top? Now you can. The Statue of Liberty’s crown, which was closed after the 9/11 attacks, will reopen to the public on July 4, the White House announced this morning. The decision, by the Obama administration, is a reversal of the previous policy.
It apparently takes 146 steps to get to the crown but I'm sure the view is worth the hike. I can't wait to see it for myself.
