ROOMIE SEZ

Uh-oh, and by uh-oh I mean yay!

Carls - just when you thought life couldn't get any sweeter. It has.

Manhattan’s beloved Magnolia Bakery has announced plans to open a location in Midtown. Rockefeller Center has been chosen as the newest home to the old-fashioned sweets of this family-run business. The original Magnolia has been charming Bleecker Street patrons for twelve delicious years. Its most famous treats are the ice box cake, banana pudding, and of course, the cupcakes. The legendary shop has been accredited with inciting the “cupcake craze” of the 90’s, and the buzz has yet to be quieted.

The Midtown location will accommodate the morning rush by serving breakfast pastries and muffins, but promises to stay truthful to the vintage charm of its first home in the West Village. 1240 Ave. of the Americas (at 49th St.), 212-462-2572; www.magnoliacupcakes.com
